Import Issues
"We couldn't extract a recipe from this page"
This means Peel couldn't find structured recipe data. Try:
- Make sure you're on the specific recipe page, not a category
- Some sites require login—try opening in Safari first
- Paywalled sites may require a subscription
- Try Photo Import to capture a screenshot instead
"Invalid URL" error
Make sure your URL:
- Starts with
http://orhttps:// - Is the complete URL (not shortened)
- Doesn't contain extra spaces
Social media import isn't working
Common causes:
- Private account — The video must be public
- No recipe content — Caption lacks clear recipe info
- Platform restrictions — Try waiting a few minutes
Import is missing ingredients or instructions
Sometimes imports are incomplete. You can still save and edit manually. Tap "Edit" before saving to fill in the missing parts.
Account Issues
I can't log in
- Apple: Use the same Apple ID you signed up with
- Google: Ensure you select the correct account
- Email: Try "Forgot Password" to reset
- Check your internet connection
My recipes disappeared
Recipes don't disappear on their own. Check:
- Wrong kitchen: Are you viewing Personal vs Shared?
- Different account: Did you sign in differently?
- Guest account: Guest data is device-only
How do I cancel my Premium subscription?
- Open Settings on your iPhone
- Tap your name at the top
- Tap "Subscriptions"
- Find Peel and tap "Cancel Subscription"
How do I delete my account?
- Go to Account → Account & Subscription
- Scroll to the bottom
- Tap "Delete Account" and confirm
Warning: This is permanent. All data will be deleted.
Sync Issues
Recipes aren't syncing to my partner's phone
- Both users must be in the same Shared Kitchen
- Both devices need internet connection
